Default Help! What is this tube!?

Hey guys, I just purchased my first quad. It's a Polaris Sportsman 800 efi 2005. It's in great condition, though there are what appear to be a couple minor things I need to take care of. Right below the compartment that houses speedometer, handlebars, and top light is a tube that runs down into the main body of the quad. This is my first quad so I don't freakin know the names of any of these items and I have been searching for this forever. Any ideas what this is and how to fix it?

Looks like the fuel vent tube. Appears to be in pretty bad shape from the pic. If you can see where it attaches to the tank without removing the plastic cowl just replace it. Probably be easier with the cowl removed though...

If you don't want to run a hose, you can get one of these.

Me too. I think it goes down into the handlebar stem.
