Polaris xploreer 300 4x4
Ok guys I know very little about working on bikes. I was afraid I would mess it up so I took it to the toy store which is a local Polaris dealer and workshop. They said the compression was to low so they wanted to replace two seals. I didn't want to sound dumb so I didn't ask them, but I will ask you what two seals are they referring to and does it envolve pulling the engine?

Doesn't involve pulling the engine if it's just crank seals but does involve some work. Clutch cover has to pulled along with the drive clutch for one seal, the recoil, flywheel and stator have to be removed to replace the other crank seal. If the top end needs to be rebuilt also, then it is about as easy to just go ahead and pull the engine. Crank seas allow the air, fuel, oil mixture drawn in to compress in the crank case and shoot up the transfer ports for ignition. If leaking,an engine won't run. Same thing if piston and rings are worn.
