As I leaned on the rear rack to push my quad out of the garage, I noticed the gosh awful squeaking noise coming from the rear shock on my Boss. I haven't ridden it since I cleaned it up the other day.

Do you supposed I've just washed off the luberication with all the soap and water? Should I just spray some WD40 on the shock, or do I have a more serious problme on my hands?

probably not the shock at all. Mine made that noise and it comes from the rear brake pads being to tight on the disk. I don't know how, but re-adjust the brake in the rear or maybe the calipers are not reopening like they are supposed to. Maybe you should take off the rear caliper and check it out. Somebody else may be able to tell you how to re-adjust them if needed.

Mine was getting more squeaky all the time. Greased the swingarm grease fittings and no more squeak. BK

I'm not positive, but can't WD40 make the situation worse? I thought that WD40 can be used to removed old grease, thus removing all of the grease on the shock making the situation even worse. But WD40 does have some lublicating values, just not as much as regular grease does. (I think)

My 325 Magnum sqeaks like hell from the rear end, but I can't find any zerks to grease on my swingarm. It's not my brakes either,it's my suspension. I would love it fixed.

I had a squeak shortly after I got the quad, I traced it to the upper shock mount. I removed the shock and could see where the nylon bushings were wearing, (worse in the upper mount). I applied grease to them and reassembled and problem was solved. I have a feeling though that it will be a once a year type of deal. gj

my upper spring mounts also squeaked bad, I just jacked it up and sprayed armoral(tire cleaner) on the rubber bushings annd turned the springs to work it in. stops the squeaks for a while
