'04 Polaris Sportsman Solenoid replacement

Angry '04 Polaris Sportsman Solenoid replacement

Okay, soooo, before I could get pictures of how it was wired, "we" pulled the old solenoid off and NOW "we" have 3 wires left and ONLY 2 bolts!!!!! Can someone please help with this stupid problem.

Depending on what kind of solenoid you have,should be one wire that goes to the ignition switch and one ground wire(some may not have this) that grounds to the battery box. Positive battery lead to the right hand post,starter wire mounts to the left post.

I'm assuming the other wire is the winch wire. Does that wire bolt to the negative or the positive? I can see why they charge $75 an hour to work on this boogas!

Only two large red wires should hook to the solenoid posts.. One short one from the battery positive post,the other wire leading to the starter. If you have other wires such as for the winch,they should be color coded also.Red for positive,black for negative and they always go to the battery. Just trace down where the wire is coming from.
