Thank you for the compliment, took a lot of hours to get her where she is now. It was barley ridden then parked where it sat for 10 years under a sheet in a garage before I bought it. So I had to do all cv boots, bushings, seals, fluids, ignition, new tires, winch and snorkeled it all by myself.

Well , that's bad news that's good news , a lot cheaper fix than a stator , you mentioned you had moisture in there - make sure you dry it out good , did you check the yellow wires to ground , should be infinite .

You got lucky if still charges ok.. Don't try to rebuild a bendix as the parts you really need aren't available. Plenty of cheap ones on ebay.Starter Drive Bendix for Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin EFI X2 | eBay

Stator is charging, I now have 14dcv on yellow/ red wires when idling and it went u to 40dvc when reving motor up. I think it did end up shorting out the regulator in the process as I have nothing coming out of it on red wire. Grounding is good

Default Similar problem

I have a 2002 sportsman 700. It is not charging. It had the Kokusan upgrade kit installed about 4 years ago. I can not find replacement parts for the voltage regulator.
also stalls as soon as you give it any gas.
