What does everyone use for a portable air compressor? Going to get one over the winter, open to suggestions.


What's the maximum amps on our 12V outlet? 15AMP?

 

I had a cheap little $15 one I used. Wouldn't pop a bead on a tire, but if one went flat, it aired it up enough to get back to camp. Mine had the clamps that hooked directly to the battery.

 

I have a small Slime compressor. I've had many years of service from it. Had another Slime compressor that broke. They replaced it without any issue. Great company to deal with.

 

i had a slime compressor kit as well that worked realy well.

The Kobalt ones from Lowe's seem to be very durable. I have 1 in my boat shop as a back-up , used it for years.

 

i use a harbor freight one. it goes up to 120 psi. i have had it for years works great

 

Heard good compliments about Slime around here either, gonna try that next. This cheap from Amazon is recently acting up.

 

Same for me...slime compressor. Works great, not fast but gets the job done. I've had it for a couple years now.

 

I forget what kind I have. I bought it off ebay several years ago. Its much larger than the more compact slime compressors. I wanted a bigger more powerful one back then. It definitely does the job but it cost about $55 I think and that was back in about 2008 or so. I have used it to inflate truck and car tires, to air up atv and lawnmower tires it barely breaks a sweat. I keep it in my truck all the time. The smaller slime compressor might be one I would use just for my quad though as it would be easier to take with me.
