Default 2008 Sportsman 800

I found a 2008 Portsman 800 with 2,000 miles and in need of a CV joint. Seller is asking $3,900. Haven't seen the quad in person yet put looks clean in photos. Thoughts on the price?

Condition, condition means everything. He's kinda split the price between the low and high side on Nada.2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 (Electronic Fuel Injection) Prices and Values - NADAguides Close to the same on KBB.https://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/pola...icetype=retail If it's not drivable all you can do is hear it and see if the gears work. Could be other things wrong such as the front diff roll cage on these models. Not a deal breaker on a bad drive shaft or a front diff roll cage, but you'd be playing with the unknown.2000 miles isn't much on this machine as many people have way more, but how it's been treated these 2000 miles is the main factor. If it appears to be good as you say,it may not be such a bad deal, but try a little bargaining off the price since it needs work.

Worth it if the machine is clean and has been well maintained. Sixity XTA replacement axles are pretty inexpensive and hold up well. Like OPT said, try and talk seller down if possible.
