Default Polaris 1999 scrambler problem

So my polaris scrambler 500 runs quite well but I have one issue. Whenever I put it into reverse it makes a somewhat grinding Moise and cuts the engine. Any idea what it is and how to fix it? Thanks!

Main item that can cut power is the crappy reverse limiter module. You can pull the black wire from it and see if that stops the dying. It also allows you to have full power in reverse without having to push the over ride button. As far as noise ? It may or may not be related to this.

I've discovered that the problem with it was the reverse limiter switch getting stuck? Gave it a jiggle and it stopped cutting. I'm going to do what oldpolaristech recommended and pull the wire out
