Came in this morning to work, we have two mechanics here and we did the measurement again like in the video with the bottom of piston properly aligned with the sleeve and the .006 did not go in, the guy's set didn't have any smaller gauges. I have a smaller set at home and will see what happens. They think a stock size replacement would work but they are not ATV specific mechanics, will post the results later. Thanks for hanging in there with me OPT.

Just my two cents,even if it had .004 clearance I wouldn't put a stock piston back in. There will be some wear on the piston too that you could deduct from with a new piston, but probably not enough to get it in a good clearance range that's called for. You wouldn't have much life out of the piston before you had to do it right and bore the cylinder anyway.. Yes these guys aren't 2 stroke specific or they would have known better.
