Default 1994 polaris sportsman 400 leaking gas help!

Picked up an old sportsman for my father and got everything going but when the machine is off there is gas leaking from the overflow tube on carb. I replaced the neadle and seat and adjusted the float lever but it is still leaking gas. Is there something i am missing or not doing correctly?

Float arm is fairly simple to adjust. Just have it level with the carb body. If the float pin is worn or the float arm is worn and wobbly where the pin rides, the arm can stick and cause this. These parts don't come in any kits and often over looked for wear. Items #13,14.

As an added safety measure I hope you always remember to shut off fuel flow when not in use. Always did on my atv's but now that I have a side x side there is none and yes it makes me nervous.
