Default Polaris Charing issue

Hey I'm looking for help to see if my voltage reg is going on my 2010 sportsman. I checked with a voltage meter I got 14 volts coming from battery and 12 volts coming into the voltage regulator on my bike but nothing coming out of the regulator. I can have my bike running soon as I turn on lights the battery light comes on after couple mins. Just looking to see if this is a stator problem or a voltage regulator problem as for both ain't cheap

Not quite understanding your post.. If you have 14 volts at the battery at an idle it's charging ok.. If it's not charging, just showing battery voltage, pull the yellow wires from the stator that connect to the regulator. Should be some ohms resistance between the yellows with no yellow shorting to ground. The stator should be ok if that's the case. You can take a chance on a 50 buck regulator from ebay or get an oem for 170 bucks through Partzilla.REGULATOR RECTIFIER Fits POLARIS SPORTSMAN 500 TOURING HO 2010-2013 | eBay
