I was wondering if anyone has ever used their quad to move round bales with a hay dolly. I think the quad would pull it just fine but Im afraid the process of lifting the bale onto the dolly might pick the quad up off the ground. I would like some input before I try this.
Thanks

I have moved a bale or two in my life and when you are talking about a 1000 to 1500 pounds, I don't think the rear end of an atv is going to be heavy enough. I agree it would pull it, but getting it loaded is another story. Maybe someone should design a new single round bale hauler for atv and trucks alike that would not depend so much on the rear end weight of the tow vehicle.

Had to move car hauler trailer for friend of mine.It was heavy old brute,I could move it ok but steering was tough, have sp500.Really not made for that kind of stuff, maybe pull hay rake or something like that, something that supports it's own weight.

I have moved a round hay bale with my Arctic Cat 500. I just pushed it, I almost fliped my cat when I pushed a little to hard and the front wheels climbed the hay bale, but managed to get it back on all 4 wheels.
Arctic Cat 500, I don't need no stinken hay dolly
