Low voltage at the ignition switch
#1
2006 Trail Boss 330. Engine started and running, turned on the headlights engine quit. Will not even turn over. Used a jumper to the Starter Relay and starter worked. Checked and found no broken wires. Cleaned connections. Tested voltage at the Ignition Switch and have only 5.65 volts. Battery is new and fully charged. Tested and found no power to Light Switch. I don't have the expertise to test the various electrical components.

Think you have the old ecm(#18) problem that happens to the best of them.It controls voltage to the ignition switch, lights, fan control, charging, controls accessory power and also contains all the solid state breakers.Shame it wasn't on the original recall with all the other atvs that used ecms.Plus wasn't uncommon to have to replace ecms more than once over the years like I've had to do.This seems to be the going price.Genuine 2005, 2006 Polaris Trail Boss, Magnum ATV Superpower ECM Kit

BOTH are still sold and both will work, but the 2203349 is the updated replacement. Some sites show the updated ecm, some don't. Even Pure Polaris Parts lists it as 4011088. Browse Confused me too at first when I had to order one and got the updated one. Polaris Parts House from Babbitts has it right..Polaris 4011088 - Module, Controller : Babbitts Polaris Partshouse Plus looks like they're cheaper than most.

The reason for the part number change was mainly for a replacement for the crappy Chinese modules that would fail. If you still have the BLACK CHINESE Sure power module, that's the reason for the part number change and a change to the silver US made module. All the other models were under the recall but not your model. The kit comes with all necessary connections.

Thank you. It all makes since now. Ha!. After talking to Babbitts I learned there was a back order on the new parts. I went to your first suggestion on Amazon and ordered one.
Thank you very much for your help.
