I suppose I could hook up an inverter, but then I have wires all over the place, and have to worry about them getting wet.
I have a few of these batteries, so I can just swap them out when needed.
We have one of these radios at work, and it gets abused, and sits out in rainstorms, and works like the day it was new.
I like the idea of putting something under it. I'll figure out some kind of rubber isolator.

Ran the radio for 3 hours straight today, didn't even use one bar on the battery.
Loving this thing.

You may be able to ride for a whole weekend playing on a single battery. Impressive. Instead of painting the radio you should paint your quad red to match it.

I liked the yellow Sportsmans when I first saw them, but in some of your pics it looks faded and not so good. But at least you don't have purple camouflage. My red Sportsman doesn't look faded until you see where I peeled some stickers off after it at in the sun for years. I used to leave it uncovered except in the winter until my seat started cracking. It's covered with duct tape now. You can see on the fender where the old trail stickers used to be. When we had a single sticker I put one on top of another, or peeled them off and put a new one on the same spot.

Yeah, it is faded. Doesn't bother me too much, but I have been kicking around the idea of getting it wrapped. Future project I guess.

I finally got around to putting my HD coils in today. I'm really liking them, and should have done it a long time ago.

Original springs.

Old and new spring comparison.

Guess it's a good thing I changed them. That's been busted for a while.

New springs going in.

All done.

It was a very simple job. I know it's going to make a huge difference with the plow this winter. The front end just feels more responsive, and it handles great. Gave it a bit of lift also.

I wouldn't wrap it. Maybe buff it.

It looks like the HD springs are a bit thicker and have an extra coil where you need it, too. I need HD springs on mine too, especially since I'm heavier than I was 10 years ago. I should have had them back then because of the weight of the winch, and they were too soft to start with. Maybe I'll have the dealer put a pair on when they check everything over in the fall.

They are nice. Gets rid of that nosedive that it would always do when braking.
