Just got a Polaris Service Bulletin dated April, 5 2001. Some model ATVs may have loose or leaking oilcooler line clamps.... is this the same thing I had fixed last year??

My dealer actually just called me last month for the oil line repairs I had done (at a better dealer) last October....

I also received the same postcard announcing the service bulletin. Yes, it is the same thing that you already had fixed (ATV service bulletin 003). It is interesting that if you read the entire postcard, it says something like "in rare cases, some injuries have been reported from the oil spraying on the rider after the oil line has come loose, however, we feel that wearing proper riding gear would prevent this injury". They are trying to make it sound like you are at fault for getting hot oil sprayed on you just because you didn't wear mx boots. Maybe they should blame the idiot engineer who thought that clamp-type fittings for high pressure oil lines was a good idea. He must hang around with the other idiot engineer at Polaris that thought the plastic lower steering stem bushing was a good idea

this oil line leakage happened to me last summer.. on accounts of the "injury" that can occur, its barely anything... a little hot oil wasted on my leg... i also brought mine in on the recall last month, and they outfitted my boss with some nice stainless steel tubes, compared to those flimsy little rubber ones. so im happy
