Default Differences

He guys. I'm working on a couple of Scrambler 90's and can't seem to find what the differences are between a 90X and a regular 90. I have both in my garage piecing together one bike. The only thing I have found is that the 90X was for more experienced riders, but don't know why. Anybody know. Thanks. You can find my other thread here:

Some suspension changes, skid plate along with the X matching graphics of the 400 Scrambler. Wasn't all that different though than the standard version and released in time for Christmas. That always helps sales when you release one during this time..

" In response to consumer demand, the Polaris ATV division introduced a radical looking, better-handling special edition youth model ATV. The 2002 Polaris Scrambler 90 X is currently arriving at Polaris dealers across North America and is available in limited numbers in time for the holiday shopping season. The model has created an instant hit and matches the previously released 2002 Scrambler X 400 4x4 in style and appearance.

The higher-performance suspension on the Scrambler 90 X has been recalibrated for improved handling and ride quality. The hot looking, improved youth ATV features sonic blue paint with yellow X graphics, a custom cut and sewn three-color seat, yellow front skid plate, yellow suspension components, and a yellow handlebar pad." Guess you can use that tired old phrase"Bold new graphics" on this one also.

I figured you would know. What suspension pieces were changed? Should I even bother swapping them out?

2 1/4" more travel front and rear and those "bold new graphics" Retail was a whole 50 bucks more than the plain Sportsman 90.. I think I'd leave it as is. Here's the comparison between the two.
