What are the differences between the 98 model Quadrunner 500 and the 99? I know the differences between the 99 and 00 models. I called the local dealer and they have a leftover 98 model that they'd sell for $5272. Should I go buy it or order a new one?

Ktk, I'd go with the 98, it's the same thing as the new ones (except for the Quadmaster 500) and that is a real good price on a big bore machine.

For 2000 the LTF500 got a bunch of upgrades, like the increase in suspension travel from 5.1 inches to 5.9 inches. It also got a longer wheelbase, taller seat, and taller handlebars.
