Yes, the FMF pipe is very nice. I have it on my 99 scrambler 500. It takes about 10 minutes to put on and it feels like it pulled more all through the whole powerband. I bought it from Dennis Kirk for $180.00 part# 44-5177 it is the MegaMax II. 800-328-9280. You can take the quiet core out and/or the discs to give you even better performance, plus I did not have to rejet my carb with the pipe. I have a K&N also. The pipe sounds a lot better then the stock one. With the quiet core in and all the discs out it is much more quiet than stock. I run it core out all discs in.

Well i just came from there web site and it had nothing for the 500. Was the one you got made for the scrambler or did you just buy one and make it fit.

There are 3 pictures of the FMF on the Scrambler 500 on FMF's website. Try http://www.fmfracing.com/polaris.html

It used to be linked directly off the main page with a picture that said "Polaris Power" or somthing like and had a picture of the Sport. I guess when they updated the page they took the link down, but it's probaly somewhere in the ATV section as well.

Whisky, That is the part # for the fmf Megamax II for the 99 Scrambler 500. I ordered it from the 99 dirtbike/ ATV catalog. It was the right pipe and it went on very easy. One hint, when installing the springs dont bolt the pipe on, tilt the pipe all the way down to hook one spring on and then tilt it all the way up to hook the other one, then bolt the pipe on. Just call them and tell them the part # and they will verify it. Plus if you can find it any cheaper which I doubt, then they will beat the price by one dollar.

I just ordered mine today. 169.95 from my local dealer. I plan on doing some timed runs before and with various configurations of the pipe after.

It sounds like those of you who have the fmf on your Scrambler 500 just put on the pipe and did no mods to carb or clutch. I am considering a pipe for my 00 Scrambler 500 but do not want to mess with carb or clutch. Is that what you all have done as well? Also, in hindsight is their enough of a difference over stock that you would do it again? Thanks for any help!

The looks, sound, and increase in performance for $180.00, YES, I would do it again I live in NC and ride the woods and I did not have to mess with the carb/clutch. Very easy to install.
