Default 2011 rzr s 800 issues

I have a 2011 rzr 800s. I have 2 things going on. 1st issue is when out riding the machine has a hard time starting after stopping for a break. 2nd is I changed the plugs and the fan does not come on and the machine over heats, don't believe I disturbed anything with that. Possibly a coolant sensor, if so where is it located. Thanx in advance

Temp thermistor for the fan is on the side of the head. You can jump the fan wires to make sure it's ok first. Item#1. Plenty of cheap aftermarket ones now. https://www.ebay.com/sch/4010644%20Polaris?rmvSB=true As far as hard starting that could be fuel pump related or several other things. The manual is best for this as it has good trouble shooting guide and checks to narrow down the problem.https://www.tradebit.com/filedetail....pair-2011-2012

The fan is functional, I pulled the wires from my light bar and ran the fan off of the switch since it acted up while riding. As to the hard start issue I changed the plugs and cleaned the fuel filter and it seemed to help. I noticed the machine has a hard time starting when the temp is in the 190's. Did you happen to see the other thread about the rear noise?

As far as erratic gear position check the wiring on the switch on the gear case.Item #2. On the noise? Could be from the brake rotor or pads if worn or noise may be from elsewhere. You may be able to jack the rear end up and check while it's running. Again tat's something you'll have to find and don't forget the manual if you're not sure. Plenty of tests and trouble shooting info.

The noise almost sounds like the diff making the sound.

First thing on that is to do a fluid change if you haven't already done so and see if that helps. If it doesn't and you narrow it down to something internal, that's where the manual comes into play.

If you're talking about AGL for the gear case or Demand Drive for the the front diff, then yes,it calls for the same fluids.

Thanx for all of the help. I am going to buy a fluid kit for it since I do not know when it was last serviced.

Would the fan breaker be the issue with my fan not working or the temp sensor.
