Default top speed

2006 polaris hawkeye 300 seems to top out at about 25 mph with high rpms. I see others say they go like 50mph. Does the hawkeye have more than one gear in the automatic tranny? Maybe it's stuck in low. I only have forward park and reverse.

How many miles since the belt has been replaced? If its worn out, it will cut your power and top speed.

Should have something more like 45 mph top end. Friend's son rode one and he kept up pretty well with us.

Never changed the belt. It doesn't have many miles on it. Bought it brand new and it has never gone that fast.
