Default 2001 Polaris Scrambler 2x4 No Power When The Key Is On

Are there any 01 Polaris Scrambler experts out there? I have problem when you turn on the key there is no power, and yes I’ve put in new battery and made sure it’s charged. I have traced all the fuses that I can find but I have had no luck at. Any info would be greatly appericated. Thank You

Welcome to the forums. I've moved this over to the Polaris section where the experts can get you going.

Have you used a meter to make sure you have power to the switch itself?

Thanks for putting moving this to the right section. I’m kind of down and out for a while with a injury so a friend has been working on it and I got a little more info as to what is going on. This ATV has been setting for a couple years with a broken throttle cable. My friend wanted to get it running so he came and put the throttle cable on and found out the battery was junk. So instead of waiting for me to get a new battery he took the battery out and hooked up a battery charger to the leads for the battery. He’s says it cranked over for a little bit 2 or 3 try’s at 15seconds each, on the last try he said the dash lights went off and won’t turn over now even with a new battery. I have looked and checked all the fuses I can find and have not found any popped. I am thinking there is a relay or a fuse I’m not finding. I hope that explains the issue better and someone might know more about this. Any help is appericated. Thanks

Check for 12 volts on the key switch(like scooter mentioned) red wire. If you dont have it there, look for this part back next to the starter solenoid and battery. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-20-...1:pf:0&vxp=mtr It should have voltage on BOTH sides of it(its a circuit breaker inside the plastic covering. If you have battery voltage on both sides, turn the switch on and see if there is 12 volts on the red/black tracer coming out of the switch. If you have it there, check for batt voltage at the left hand handlebar switch red/white tracer coming out of the switch. These tests need the components plugged in. Dont unplug them looking for voltage. My GUESS is check the circuit breaker(inside the plastic) first, guessing it may be where the problem is. Just probe the wires going in and coming out off the plastic, you dont have to cut the plastic open.

My thought as well. I believe it does. It is what 94Harley described, I think.

According to the wiring diagram it doesnt have a fuseable link, but it uses a 20 amp circuit breaker. Cut the pouch open and this is what you will find.

It worked when I highlighted the whole thing, right clicked and opened the link in a new tab. I'll see what happens when I try posting it.
