Default combination control module and votlage regulator

I have a 2007 Polaris 450 sportsman. Have determined that the battery is not charging, all signs point to the voltage regulator. After calling the dealer I was told that this model year the voltage regulator and control module are one unit. $500.0 as apposed to under 100.00 for a typical voltag regulator. Has anyone isolated the voltage regulator from the control module and bypassed the regulator to install a new seperate regulator

first welcome to the forum. the newer style ecm(control module) do both jobs now. I know the 06 450's were on a recall to replace the ecm's.

How did you test the stator?

If you are sure the control module is the problem, get a hold of this guy. I had him do one for my shop a while back and so far its working perfectly. 10 months on it currently.
