Thats a good idea but I think i would just strip out that groove too. I bent the first torx bit without even stripping the bolt. This thing is in there good. I even tried to vice grip the other side to no avail. The dealer can mess with it. I hate letting the dealer do anything, but looks like this is the best way. Plus, if they scratch anything on this 2 month old $30,000 SOB, they will have to paint over it! It really sucks, because I had every torx bit except that size and I had to buy a $16 bit set just to get it and screw it up. I can't believe that one bolt could cause that much trouble.

as you put pressure on screw driver tap the end of it with a hammer sometimes this will loosen them,a mechanic friend of mine taught me that one.Hell I'd like to have one to scratch the paint on.Mine has been on order for 2months no word yet.

 

We must really be a burr in the side of Honda look at thier topics, there are at least 6 that have something about polaris in them.How many more for the big 5?

Hey Cob, did you order the 4rth door model? I heard when I got mine that it would be available for order in November, and would show up on lots in either January or February. I got this from e-mailing Chevrolet directly. The dealers told a bunch of Horse S--- lies that varied in 4rth door availability from November to next summer. They just wanted me to buy what was on their lot. I would have liked the fourth door, but I couldn't wait. My old one had 162,000 and wasn't getting any newer. Trade value would have suffered greatly because i put over 100 miles a day on my vehicle. I got my 2000 model on Oct. 14th and it has 5,100 miles on it already. Not even 2 months old yet.

What model did you order? What color did you get also?

I think we have aways to go. And just to prove it I will say this.

Arctic Cat is the best. Every thing else sucks.

Now if you replace Arctric Cat with Honda in that sentence you will see what I am faced with when I go to school. One dumb @ss even told me that I couldn't pull a Honda 300 2wd!!!!!! I told him how I pulled a 3/4 ton truck. He said, "Thats because trucks don't jump. When the 300 start to jump you won't be able to pull it, you will just sit there." I laughed in his face. After he starts jumping that will make it easier to pull him because he will not have any traction in the air. I guess the people will never learn untill they all have a differnt brand of quad.
