I use mine year around too. We are having some bad winter wheather right now, probaly the worst we have had in years. I almost put on a jacket when I went outside this morning!
The only seasonal vehicles around here are boats/pwc.

Funny!
>We are having some bad winter wheather right now, probaly the worst we have had in years. I almost put on a jacket when I went outside this morning!
It's been cold, snowy, and now foggy here. I was hoping to get out and take some pictures in the bright moonlight tonight but it was overcast earlier, so I figured I would wait and hope to get a good shot of the moon over Pikes Peak ... but then this thick fog rolled in.
Trying to stay at least a little on the topic .. there are several CATS in the Quad Dusters ATV club (454's). They do pretty well everywhere we go, but I think my Sportsman 500 does better.
Can't wait to get out and go 4-wheeling again! I missed a club ride last weekend because we were off skiing in Breckenridge. We kinda made up for missing the ATV ride by taking a snowmobile tour

Speaking of wanting to ride .. this week would be GREAT for a night ride, even if you are riding a CAT!
In case anybody missed it .. here's the reason for the extra-bright moon this week..
This year, will be the first full moon to occur on the winter solstice, Dec. 22, commonly called the first day of winter. Since, a full moon on the winter solstice occurred in conjunction with a lunar perigee (point in the moon's orbit, that is closest to Earth), the moon will appear about 14% larger than it does at apogee (the point in its elliptical, orbit that is farthest
from the Earth). Since the Earth, is also several million miles closer to the sun, at this time of the year, than in the summer, sunlight striking the moon,is about 7% stronger, making it much brighter. Also, this will be the closest perigee of the Moon, of the year, since the moon's orbit is constantly deforming. If the weather is clear, and there is a snow cover where you live, it is believed, that even car headlights will be superfluous. In laymen's terms it will be a SUPER BRIGHT FULL moon (much more than the usual) AND ....... it hasn't happened this way for 133 years!
Remember, this will happen December 22, 1999, so go outside and look up (or just look around you)!

As soon as I get the new (y2k) schedule of rides I will post it on the Quad Dusters web page. Maybe you can come on "down south" and ride with us and see Articats and Polaris and others (including the '00 Kodiak) all in action, in the snow. It's loads of fun. I don't have the schedule yet, but our January ride is usually around the Round Mountain area, north of hwy 24 between Lake George and Wilkerson Pass.

The new schedule hasn't been decided on yet, but the Quad Dusters next ride *will* be Jan 8 at Round Mountain
Expect to see all sorts of ATV's there, including Polaris and Articat.

Prospector- Going to Breckenridge are you? Are you going to hit Keystone and Copper Mountain as well. All I can say is that I envy you. Be sure to Lick the "Devil's Crotch" for me while you are there!

I just got back from Breckenridge ... spent all last week there. Stayed away from the Devils Crotch, but I did take time to go snowmobilling. We went with Tiger Tours, but they are actually closer to French Gulch than Tiger Run.
We drove up Tiger Run as far as we could in a 4wd truck though. The road isn't plowed past Good Times (another snowmobile/atv outfitter). I would like to go back this summer and camp out somewhere around Tiger Run and take tha ATVs back up above timeberline. I love it there.
