Default NEED HELP!!!! Polaris magnum 425

having some issues with it!! any help is appreciated! having some starting issues with it - won't turn over only makes click and even will fade out the lights if on too!! The battery is questionable if its good or not, but when i try to boost it it doesn't seem to help it start at all. i have a multi meter on the battery it shows 12.6 volts. i turn the key on and hit the start button and drops to like 2 volts or so. then voltage comes back usually up to 10 - 12.5! has me flustered!!! is it just a bad battery? if so then why won't it turn over when its boosted or on charger? seems like more of an electrical issue to me
please help!!

Sounds like the battery probably has a dead cell. It has voltage until you put a load on it then it drops out. If the battery is that bad the jump box may not even start it.

Really?? A **** battery can do that?? Like sometimes the headlights will be on full (with switch on ofcourse) and then hit the start button and get one “click” and everything then goes dead

I would take it and have it load tested. Also check all connections and grounds to frame. You would be surprised would a bad battery can make act up. A load test can confirm if you do need a battery.
