I'm new to this forum and a new ATV owner I'm hoping someone can help me out here before taking to dealer. I have own a 2016 Polaris Sportsman 570 EFI for just over 2 years now.....i believe i have 1600 miles on the machine...not a lot of heavy riding on it more basic riding on trails and smaller puddles. 2 weeks ago i rode the machine just fine and had no issues whatsoever. Now flash forward to this weekend riding the machine and when i accelerate the machine "bogs" down and than will reaccelerate. It continued to do this until i decided to stop the ride i was on and head back to the cabin. While riding back to the cabin instead of reaccelerating it would shut down....correct me if i'm wrong but the machine is shutting itself down at that point to protect itself from further damage. The air filter was really dirty so i will be putting a new on tonight to see if that possibly is the issue. Anyone else have any thoughts or things i should check before getting it in to the dealer?

 

I always start with the basics. New spark plug, clean air filter, clean or new gas, etc. And probably look around the machine for issues like mice chewing on wires and such. I also had a friend riding with me that had his machine do something similar and it was in the thumb throttle.

Found out how to get error code received code 651 which lede to fuel injector replacing that as soon as part arrives

Getting 651/5 code googled that telling me it's the harness.....anyone got a guide on how to do that? I haven't located any online. Or should I try to disconnect battery and reset computer?
