I’m just buying my first quad it’s a 2005 Polaris sportsman 500hoits got 3000km on it I’m picking it up this weekend would appreciate any advice on what to check and look for on a used machine. I understand that the quad has front differential issues it started making a noise so the owner parked it and hasn’t used it since then.Im experienced on working on vehicles and am willing to rebuild the front differential on my own. If you can offer any advice or where I can get more information or videos on doing the front differential it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for any advice or recommendations.
