Default RAZR or Ranger Rims on a 1995 Xplorer 400L?

Hi All,
I want to upgrade the tires on my 1995 Xplorer and would like to move up to a 12" rim all around with 26" tires. Would it be possible to put Razr or Ranger wheels and tires on this atv?

With the Xplorer rear wheels 10" in diameter with severe offset I understand that a 4x4 to 4x156 wheel adapter is needed and it has to be at least 2" thick. But when I look at Razr rims a 2" adapter doesn't seem like enough to provide adequate clearance.

Anyone ever try this? Would appreciate any insight.

Thanks

You might try talking with the folks at ITP Tires. They know a ton about offsets and what will/won't work. https://www.itptires.com/

Hey Moose,
Appreciate the suggestion. Feedback from others and further investigation has determined the offset difference between the Xplorer and Razr rear wheels is too large to make it practical. Older Sportsman rims with adapters and spacers is the best compromise. Hopefully this will help others who have this idea for these old atvs.

Thanks!
