Default Updated fix on my 450

I posted a week ago about an issue with my Polaris 450 losing power going up hills. After having the secondary clutch rebuilt and a new primary clutch, which it needed along with a new belt. I also put on a new fuel pump, trimmed the ends of the coil wire, check the peck off valve on the tank, and had the carb cleaned and float bowl checked with no success. The root cause of the problem was a dirty air filter and a dirty sleeve that goes over it. After cleaning both of these the atv runs like new again. Hopefully what I found out will help others.

Great to hear it's running properly again. And a relatively cheap fix.

Glad you got it fixed. Air filter never crossed my mind!

Me either, also the people I talk nor what I read from other posts never thought it. Fortunately it only cost me just over $100.

Had the same thing happen to a guy on our trip a few years ago. We over thought everything, and never checked the obvious. His was super caked with mud/dust.
