2009 Sportsman 500 efi nightmare
#1
Ok, so ill try to make this as short as possible. Issue started with hot flashing on speedo.? 2009 sportsman 500 efi
I took it to mechanic and he replaced temp sensor but still didn't help. When I turn the key off the speedo will flash and say hot and just stay on.
The next time I tried to take it out it wouldn't start or even attempt to crank. Mechanic came over and seemed to be stumped. He ran a couple tests where he unplugged the temp sensor to see if the fan would kick on and nothing. He seemed stumped and say it may be the ecu.
This is where I come in. I hate the shotgun approach so I started doing research and trying to trace what could be the issue. I found a relay that seemed bad and replaced them.. now i can start the atv but it dies right away. I can keep it running with the throttle but it wont idea. No its not the safety circuit in the throttle control.. i saw that while researching and checked.. I've got the spacing needed..
any ideas?
