Default polaris magnum 325 4x4 2000 oil cooler fan issue

hello i was able to find the drain plus and fill plus got that all done i am having a very weird issue with my polaris magnum 325 200- 4x4. it has a oil cooler. now keep in mind i am rebuilding this and it has a new stator installed along with new voltage regulator. and it never used to charge my battery while running it now runs good and charges the batt but i can not seem to get the oil cooler fan to work. i have tested the fan with a 12 volt source and fan works. then i checked voltage going to the fan after running it for a while. and it is getting 12 volts. but when i hook the fan back up to the wires the fan does not work and when i check the voltage while fan is connected it shows no voltage . i would love some help with this.
