bought a 4 ton hand winch for 22 dollars, not sure how cheap that is but it seems very reasonable, Polaris's 900 lb one is 70 bucks. and an electric winch( though easier to use for sure) are 200-500 dollars. it works very slick, for 22 bucks if it gets me or a buddy out once it is worth it.
