Default 07 Hawkeye 300 issues

New to the forum here. I did do some searching and some reading the service manual, but still can’t seem to fix this thing and I’m getting tired of throwing parts at it.
2007 Polaris Hawkeye 300 2X4
I’ve installed a new carburetor, fuel pump, air filter, spark plug, and did an oil change.
it will start and idle fine for a couple minutes, then it starts running real rough and won’t stay idling unless I play with the throttle some. When it gets to this point it dumps a lot smoke, fuel starts coming out of the carb overflow, and sometimes oil starts pushing into the air box.
I’ve read that it could be bad rings on the piston, but the compression test is just over 90psi and according to the manual, that’s a good number. I’ve ordered the oil pressure relief and waiting on it to come in. Hoping that’s not the problem because I really don’t want to take this whole thing apart again.
