Default Tire size question

I’m needing new front tires on my 05 sportsman. Stock size is 26x8r12 front 26x11r12 back. I took all weight off the tires and the front measures 24.6” and rear measures 25.25”. My question is can I go with a Carlisle act 25x8r12 without putting the AWD system in a bind. Carlisles website says that tire mounted is exactly 25”. I’m not wanting to replace back tires now. But when I do I’ll go with 25x11r12 which the website says is 25.7” mounted.

as a rule, if you go up in tire size on front or back you need to do the same for the other (front or back) due to gearing. they are set up from factory to run the correct size difference from front to back. changing size differences could hurt. imo

I am currently running 25” swamp fox plus’ on my 06 700 carb. No issues. Just make sure the tire size in the front is the same as the rear. If your going to run 25” tires, get 25’s for both the front and rear
