Original problem: been sitting up for a while, says Check engine and Hot immediately after turning the key (engine tries to but fails to turn over). Figured I might get a code reader to see the diagnostic codes.
Replaced fuel injector already, probably going to replace temp sensor next (although I don't think this would cause it not to start necessarily, just troubleshooting smaller fixes right now)
But it always says can't communicate with the system. The only thing that doesn't quite line up make sense is that the ODB reader has 5 pins and my Polaris has 4
ODB Reader pins Polaris PINS
Reader always says "Failed to connect"
ODB Reader says "Failed to connect"
Is it due to the one pin difference? Maybe I need some other kind of converter?
