DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHICH CARB WILL BE BETTER FOR A POLARIS 400 FOR WOODS RIDING? FLAT SLIDE OR D SLIDE. I HAVE BOTH, BUT DONT KNOW WHICH WOULD WORK BEST. BOTH ARE 38'S, THE MIK IS A POWER JET VACUME OPERATED, THE OTHER IS A KEHIN.

My brother and myself have the Mikuni 38mm tmx carbs. He has a 400 sport and I have a 250 T.B. We do alot of trail riding and I feel it gave the bikes a good boost. BUT!!!! They were a pain to adjust (not the carb) The throttle and the oil pump cables are connected and if you adjust one you have to adjust the other. You need a shop manual or other good reference book for this procedure. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
