Default TrailBoss 250 transmission problem

I got this '96 TrailBoss 250 in late 2023. Drove it until February of 2024 when, during a snow ride, it popped out of gear. Since then, when you put it in drive and give it just a little gas, it makes a grinding sound and acts like it's in neutral. Odd part is that the reverse is totally fine. We eventually found that the transmission had very little fluid in it. The worst part is that the thing runs flawlessly, but unless I learn how to drive backwards, it still sits. I had someone try adjusting the transmission with no difference. Any ideas? Thanks!

You unfortunately will need to find a gear box from a salvage yard for your machine because none if the parts to repair yours are any longer available.
