I saw one today and it had a born on date of July 6 1999. I guess they have just been sitting on them.

well everyone, from what i hear, and you can't believe everything you hear. the dealer i went to said that polaris has an over abundance of '99 scrambler 400's left. so, hearing this, i figured, great, i should be able to get one cheap then, right? yeah right! think again. i did get an ok deal on one, around $4900, where as the '00 are about $5200. but anyhow, i would imagine this is why they are not in a hurry to ship the '00's out yet. what the heck do they do if they have leftovers? i should wait, but i don't have the patience. and if all the '99 are sold i will be digusted since i kind of want a '99 instead of a '00. they have nicer colors, aluminum rims, where as the '00 doesn't, and the '99 is lighter. so the only thing i won't get with the '99 is the added inch or so of travel. well, i was supposed to get mine this friday, but unfortunately it won't be in until next tuesday. wait, wait, wait. oh, hopefully soon.
