Scrambler died tonight?!?!

Which needle do you have in the carb? After my burn down, I changed to an EEG needle in the 39 PWK, apperently, it's one of the richest needles available. This weekend I ran a 168 main with the needle 1 notch lean from center, a 38 slow jet and 1 1/2 turns out on the air screw. The off idle wasn't quite right, I'll have to play with it some more.
I had discussed my burn down with Rick Ritter, and he told me that on long, steady throttle runs, turning on the choke on the first notch to give additional fuel / lubricant flow.
The last time I did the top end it took about an hour to tear it down, and about 1.5 hours to put it back together. I had the cylinder lightly honed at a local machine shop, and put it back together with a new piston.
Good Luck

Vic, I am hoping that it was just my needle that was not jetted right and that my main jet was too rich...could happen. If I was running lean in midrange and W.O.T. then my buddy's Shee might catch up next time. If so... sprocket change!

Julien, You are using that sore arm of yours as an excuse to not ride. The Scram is faster than your Shee and you know it! You are probably in your garage right now adding a power-valve system, nitrous, turbo and whatever other mods you need to beat me and the Tank as we speak...LOL
