Well there is no time like the present to introduce myself on the forum. I have a 2000 scrambler sport 400 that I have made extensive mods to such as:

HPD clutch kit
HPD pipe and silencer
Bored .020 with Wiseco Piston
Ported and polished
Oil injector removed
Douglas aluminum rims and Holeshot tires
DG front bumper
Rear skid plate
36mm Mikuni carb
and a slew of other mods.

I ride almost exclusively at Wayne national forest with a few friends on sundays starting at around 8:00am. I like wayne because of the groomed trails, it is really a nice place to ride. I look forward to being able to participate in the forum.

Welcome to the forum, it is a decent place to find out info and all that, and some of the posts get very heated, but they are fun.

Howdy Balzak and welcome.
How did your compression problem turn out, was the piston shot or was it a head gasket problem?

It was exactly like you guys had mentioned, it was in fact a compression problem. I had blown the head gasket the last time out and after I had taken care of that then I had the compression problem. The rings were entirely gone and the wiseco piston was scored on the intake and exhaust sides. I am told that a wiseco aluminum piston needs around 5mils of clearance because of the expansion of the aluminum and they only gave me 2mils so it might have been because of the tight bore, I am not sure yet. I am planning to fix it this weekend and hopefully ride sunday at wayne. Thanks for all of the great input.

Hey Balzak and welcome to the fourm. I'm relatively new, I've only been here for about 6 months, but my knowledge and understanding of my ATV (96 sportsman 500) and other ATV's has grown vastly. I hope you enjoy it and have lots of fun here. I know I have. The best part to me about this fourm is being able to ask questions and get true and UNBIAEST answers (most of the time). Well good luck and enjoy learning lots of new things.

Balzak;

Welcome to the forum, Yaddi yaddi yaddi.....I really am not the "mushy" kinda guy, sooo,,,,,Well it's aboot time you got your sorry butt here! LOL!

You'll find that "neat" feature called signature VERY helpfull when it comes time to put down all those mods every time.

However, some people seem to get carried away, hence my "signature". I SURE AS HECK don't want to have to type all that out each time!

Catch yu on the flip flop.
