Essex makes a rear winch mount for the Scrambler, and I think Cycle Country MIGHT make one for the front. I have only seen a rear one in person.

Whisky,
I've wondered the same thing... I've seen a Superwinch 1500 mounted on the rear of a Scrambler 500. You couldnt even see the thing if you werent REALLY looking for it. The guy had mounted it RIGHT up under the seat above the rear shock. I've decided that if I have to use a winch.. I DON'T want to go BACKWARDS..
I think a Superwinch would be the easiest to adapt to the FRONT of a Scrambler.. I started working on a mounting plate for it, but thats been put on hold while I get this Magnum 500 lined out...
Anyway.. if you haven't found one or built one by the time I get mine done.. I'll take some photos and send them to ya...
Good Luck!!!

Funny, im looking for the same thing. Im picking up my scrambler 400 4x4 in about a week, and still just happen to have a warn 2000# ATV winch leftover from an old quad I had.

I race the GNCC...the whole season....would be nice to be able to get the bike out if i get stuck (after driving 10 hours to race).

I think i have seen a front mount that goes in front of the curved frame on the front, but that sucks if its hanging out in the front like that...might get caught on somthing.

....humm would a winch fit between the frame tubes and DG or PRM front bumper....(outside the frame tubes but inside the bumper)???

Well, if no one has any solution im prob going to order both a prm bumper and DG and figure which one i have to modify less to fit a winch in there..

I don't think PRM has one, except for the aluminum plate that repalces the plastic one up front.

I am not for sure what the Scrambler looks like. But, on the cover of DirtWheels Magazine from June 1998 is a picture of what I think may be a Scrambler with a winch mounted up top. Does your bike have a small plate down low up front that says "4x4"?

My friend has a Warn 1500 mounted on the front of his scrambler 400. He had the dealer do it. They had the right mount right in stock.
