Does anybody have a clue how much dealers have invested on a 2001 SP 500 RSE sitting on their floor? I know the general avg. for msrp is around $7200 or so they say. But if this is true how can one dealer survive by selling the machine at $6800 and the other says he can't take less than $7200. Thanks for the info!

Boy thats a good question and I wish I had the answer. I am buying a new RSE next Monday. My local dealer wouldn't go lower than 7100 and the dealer in the next town that I normally deal with quoted me 7200 but did go to 7100 after I told him my local dealers price. They just wont deal much on them. But I did read on one of the posts not long ago where a guy was quoted 6600 for a RSE in Cincinnati. I told the dealer what I had read about the 6600 RSE and he said he didn't know how they could do it at those prices and make any money. It seems to me that the farther East you go they are cheaper, and the farther West they are more expensive. Maybe it's the shipping? I wish I knew. I an just sticking with this guy I have dealing with for 25 years. He knows Polaris better than anyone I have ever known and has always treated me well. It means more to me to know you will get good service work and good advice than to save a couple hundred bucks from a dealer who wont help you after the sale

Sam's Cycle in Munfordsville, KY qouted me a price of $6850. Thats just the bike no specials, nothing. One would believe if the invoice price was known we the buyer would and could be better preparred to deal with dealers.

you can go to www.cyclecost.com and order a dealer cost invoice for any make and model atv. I believe it is $10.00 per invoice.
