Ahhh, The question has now arrived.

I have an older Polaris 91 350 2X4 to be exact. My question is I am in the process of trying to make this thing scream and i hate the shifter on it. If anyone has or has rode an older POlaris they know what I am talking about. to shift into a gear you have to pull up on this red handle and pull the shifter out aways from the machine and put it into gear and let the red handle go. sometime the red handle doesn't go go dwon and the gears grind. Unlike the new shifters where you just push it into gear. Well anyway, I was looking at my 94 400 4X4 and I was wondering if a shifter like that. (the new type) would fit and work on the old type? If anyone has doen this or know of anyone that has done this let me know if it works. i think it should, all the linkages are still the same, I just want to know if this will work.
