I have seen in several places on this forum where people have mentioned seeing or hearing about turbocharged SC500 and/or SP500 quads. If anyone could give me any info on who makes or sells these kits and give me a website or a phone number I would appreciate it. I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has ridden or seen a turbocharged quad ridden. Thanks.

 

The only turbo charged quad I have seen was in the Nov. 99 issue of 4-wheel atv action. It was a turbo EFI Banshee, it had a bolt on kit from HiPer Technologies. They claim a 129.5 horsepower kit with 22 psi of boost. For $5,900 you get the turbo charger and a modified Hymark electronic fuel injector system, additionally you get a 270-watt charging system, modified Moto-Fast 2-into-1 pipe, Vito's Power Piston and FMF Torque reed cage. If you want the power you gotta pay the price! This is the only kit I have seen.

 

Wow...that's a lot for a little. I would love to have something like that but not for that price. I am going to have the motor modified first ( piston, cam, headwork, crank ). They sell a nitrous oxide kit for about $500.00.

I was told that the polaris dealer in Jackson MT. knows where to get the turbo system for the Sp500. I believe it costs somethng like $2500.

I know a company called Hymark Performance makes turbo kits for Polaris EFI sleds. I can't say I've ever seen a turbocharged SP500. I did read about that one in DW too, that would be insane!!
