As for 400ex man. I hate to burst your bubble but the 400ex sucks on the track. If you want to keep up with the real boys buy a 250R and spend some money.
As for saying polaris is junk, tell honda to come up with a new Idea every once in a while. They have been using the same basic frame and motors forever. At least polaris tries.

Oh yeah does your 400ex have reverse?
that would really have killed them to make a new gear box for the same old XR400 motor.
Get a life!

bubba, that was unacceptable! i like polaris (wouldnt have owned $23,000 worth if i didnt) but come on! Honda uses the same frames? name 2 hondas that use the same frame made right now. (250ex and recon are close, but not quite). polaris? sportsman 400 and 500. trailboss and explorers. scramblers and trailblazers. get my point? 400ex sucks on the track? sorry bub, but it has been said that a 400ex is better on the track than the 250r. has a better frame geometry and is less fatiging. why are all the pro's using 400ex parts on their 250r's? hmm, i dont know. you seem to have your facts backwards. I bet you would kill me on the race track with your over weight put too much money into scrambler though. I shouldnt be talking about what is better on the track. Honda didnt use reverse becuase some people dont need it. I ride on tight trails, and if you dont ride like an idiot, you dont need it. I used to becuase my trailblazer was too dang heavy and didnt handle good. I would put money on the fact that you have never riddin a 400ex. They did make a new gearbox for the xr's engine. it also has new cases to fit the electric starter, a beefier clutch, and a counterbalancer. They didnt leave out reverse becuase they are lazy. polaris has been using the same basic frame on the majority of their quads sence 1985, and that is based on the old scrambler 3-wheeler. get your facts strait before you start talking.
