Trail Blazer Problems
#1
My friend has a 98 TB and something is grinding in the back of his quad. It sounds like it has mud and grit in there but it is dry out. His chain is really loose too. Could that be causeing it and is the chain self tighting like all the new Polarises?

If the chain is really loose, that would be the first thing to do. Tighten it up to see if the noise goes away.
The chains on Polaris quads are not self tightening. You must do it. Tighten the chain so that there is about 1 inch or so of deflection. The manual says to leave it at 1/8 deflection, but many people have been have serious problems when they tighten it that tight.

Honda250exkid is talking about me. I always took care of the chain and lubricated it. The only reason i didn't reply to this sooner is because i had it taken care of. I got a new front sproket and chain and i no longer have this problem.

OH look, it is yel400exman with another one of his comments. last one i heard was how polaris could never build a good quad based on what the have built in the past. has it ever dawned on you that companys can change and make something new and improved. so you have ridden the new polaris quad and know for a fact that it sucks? then you go around telling someone how stupid they are. you need to cool it. stop posting unless you can do it without insulting someone or someones quad.
