realoldguy, Don't take it so hard. You my friend were going through a net. Sometimes BP has to crack down in the attempt to find something given to them via a lead or higher headquarters. This buys the good guys time while they look and crack down on the bad guys. The info being requested of you going through the boaders is legal but hey who would carrry all that information with them while on vacation? Not many, so they make you squirm and wait and you'll eventually panic or get pissed off and they'll let you pass. BP gets tons of leads each year about traffic, you were just there at the wrong time. It was funny you said you didn't look like a druggy or something. That might be true but everyone is a smuggler crossing the boarder guilty or not.

FYI.. They dont like radar-detectors up there, I went over once (st.john) and they made me break it 
wouldnt even hold onto it until I came back across like a couple hrs later.. Not like it was big bux or anything but it was kind of annoying..

Realoldguy... I haven't crossed the border in eons cause i have no reason too, but it's a shame a neighbor like you should have to go through **** like that. I quess in to-days world though all kind of weird stuff goes on, more so than a few years back. Freedom means something else to-day & tomorrow it'll be different. We Canadians are good people like you are, it's just society,(Goverment) which will continuously change as time goes by. Like they say..."It'll get worst before it gets better", whoever "they" are.
