Has anyone had trouble putting a tube bumper on and getting the holes in the bumper to line up with the holes in the bracket for the winch?

i had problems putting a winch on my`00` magnum 325..after arguing with the dealer and trying to mount it for almost 2 hours it was determined the dealer gave me the wrong winch bracket..i had to show the parts guy the machine and bracket as he didnt beleive me..make sure its the right kit..i had to go online to warnwinch.com to find out the right part # so i could prove he was wrong..good luck..a very wise investment

I didn't have any trouble with the holes lining up, but the bracket mounted very high on the bumper, which made it neccessary to mount the winch upside down. This was a Kimpex bumper and mount, with an ATV2000 Superwinch. After about an hour of trying different ways to mount the winch, I ended up drilling two new holes which worked fine. The fact that the winch directions state that the winch must pull the cable on the underside of the spool made the drilling the two new holes necessary.

If your winch is in upside down, won't you be pushing yourself into mudholes?!?!?!

Sorry, I know it was sad, but I couldn't resist!

Glenn.

Talked to the Polaris dealer this morning and he did some checking and found out that if you are using the tube bumper it requires a different winch kit. He offered to order it for me and said I could get the winch bracket out of it when it arrived. I decided to modify the one I had cause I just couldn't wait. I heated the part up where the fairlead bolts to on the winch mount and bent it out flat so It would clear the bottom tube of the bumper and just a little grinding in a couple of places and it worked fine.

Thanks for the replys,
