Just got it back from the dealer for the re-build and it is screwy once again! I went puttering around at low throttle and it would start to stall and not take the throttle I gave it. I start it back up and it revvs fine as long as I leave the throttle high enough. Stalled 3 times like this.

What is the problem? Rich pilot jet??

Once again, thanks!

Remove the carb and main jet and blow out with pressurized air. I cleaned out a friend's carb and it ixed his prob. Use carb cleaner and pressurized air.

After I bored mine and put the larger carb on I had to move the clip on the needle of the carb to the top, that quit the sputtering for me. It would bog out as soon as you gave it gas on the low end but the midrange and the topend was fine. Hope this helps.

Hi Brian:

I would take it back to the dealer. I know you must be getting a little frustrated with the old Scrambler. Did your sister have her baby? Any ideas on when a silver lake trip might be in your future?

Hey Kevin. Yep, she had a baby girl. Funny thing is I was out riding with Zorro and he had a wreck at the same time my sis calls me on the cell phone telling me she is going into labor. Two trips to the emergency room that evening.

I just took a click off the needle jet, it was all the way to the bottom and added some air by 1/2 turn. Dealer!

Just a "little rich" eh ????

At least the mechaninc at the dealer put coolant back in the engine...
The wrench ape at the dealer forgot to put coolant back in mine when I had the stock piston replaced under warranty...

Brought it back to the dealer today and they will take care of it. They are very responsible... Anyone else have problems with the midrange jetting with the 39mm carb???

I sure have had problems with the mid range jetting on the 39 PWK... I've got the burned piston to prove it... I since changed the needle and am still dialing it in.

Dealer told me he was going to evenly file off around part of the needle. He has done this when tuning race sleds in the past. I hope it works because I hate worrying about the jetting all the time. They stuck in a fatter pilot jet and had the needle on the bottom clip. How is your dialed in??

Worst past is that she was running great after the rebuild and mods this spring...obviously because she was lean!
