Hey Guys,

I was just looking at the carbs on www.hpd-inc.com and was thinking about getting one. However they are like $250, so I want to make sure that it is worth it. I currently have a '98 Sport with an RcR Stage 1 kit on it. I finally got the chance to benchmark my mods against my friends Warrior. We only raced top-end because he had to leave. My Sport seemed just as fast top-end before, as it does now. I get him by a few mph or so. Also, there is a Mikuni 38TMX carb in the classifieds for $150...is that as good as the ones on HPD's site? Thanks for the help/advice.

I can't answer your question about the performance, but I just wanted to let you know that there are a few Hot Seat carbs up on eBay. The guy claims they are new. He has a 36mm, 38mm, and a 40mm. Just type in "Polaris Carb" in the eBay search box.

Lurch,

Thanks for the info. I went on and purchased the 42mm carb for $150. Maybe it wasn't worth it, but I'll see. Does anybody know if I would use the same jets that are in my current one in this one? Thanks again Lurch.
